چکیده

This study reports on the structure analyses of NiO-BCZY (BCZY = BaCe0.54Zr0.36Y0.1O3-δ) anode composite materials with ratio 50:50 for proton ceramic fuel cells (PCFCs) application. A product sintered was developed to understand structural properties materials. The objectives this work were (a) investigate lattice expansion by using a high-temperature XRD (HT-XRD) from 400–700 °C; and (b) calculate crystallite size sample Scherrer’s Williamson Hall’s methods. results obtained HT-XRD revealed that diffraction peaks NiO BCZY are matched cubic phase perovskite structure. For example at T 400 °C, parameter is 4.2004 Å 4.3331 Å. observation also showed increased temperature. Furthermore, Scherrer Hall methods, respectively, strongly correlated expansion, which proved as operating temperature increased. increment over contributed conductivity values single cell.

Novel PVA/La2Ce2O7 hybrid nanocomposite membranes for application in proton exchange membrane fuel cells

Proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are electrochemical devices that show the highest power densities compared to the other type of fuel cell. In this work, nanocomposite membranes used for proton exchange membrane fuel cells as poly(vinyl alcohol)/La2Ce2O7 (PVA-LC) with the aim of increasing the water uptake and proton conductivity. Glutaraldehyde (GA) was used as cross linking agent ...

Ceramic - Based Anode for Solid - Oxide Fuel Cell Utilizes

490 MRS BULLETIN/JULY 2002 nated by intergranular fracture, while in AJM it was in a manner resembling ductile behavior. Improved surface finishing by AJM resulted in a 15% improvement in flexural strength, compared with both ground and ground-plus-lapped samples. The researchers concluded that a higher compressive residual stress observed on the AJM-processed surface, combined with the smoothe...

Effect of milling time on the crystallite size and microstructure of Al2O3/Mo Nano composite

In this paper, the production of Al2O3-Mo nano-composites via mechanical milling was investigated. Molybdenum and alumina powders with certain ratios were grounded in a planetary ball mill at different times. XRD technique was used to determine the crystallite size of the milled powders. The microstructure of milled powders was studied using optical and electron microscopes. The crystallite siz...

Anode materials for sediment microbial fuel cells.

INTRODUCTION Plant microbial fuel cells (P-MFCs), and more general sediment microbial fuel cells, make use of electricigenic metabolism of microorganisms in anoxic soils and sediments. Electricigenic microorganisms are able to respire organic carbon from the soil or sediment with an electrode as final electron acceptor [1]. In this work, the focus is on the anode buried in the sediment, the ele...

Proton Content and Nature in Perovskite Ceramic Membranes for Medium Temperature Fuel Cells and Electrolysers

Recent interest in environmentally friendly technology has promoted research on green house gas-free devices such as water steam electrolyzers, fuel cells and CO2/syngas converters. In such applications, proton conducting perovskite ceramics appear especially promising as electrolyte membranes. Prior to a successful industrial application, it is necessary to determine/understand their complex p...
